Lauren Michelle, M.Ed, has over 20 years of experience working with children, teens, and young adults — including 15+ years as a behavior and special education teacher. Throughout her career in education, she conducted Functional Behavior Assessments and developed Behavior Intervention Plans rooted in research and evidence-based curriculum. She has since served as a Clinic Coordinator for a community-based behavior and mental health clinic, where she now conducts biopsychosocial evaluations and writes treatment plans following state-approved, evidence-based curriculum. The Hero Plan™ was born directly from this professional foundation — Lauren's own research and evidence-based curriculum, built on the same principles she has applied across both educational and clinical settings throughout her career.
As an experienced educator, behavior specialist, mother, and grandmother; Lauren has extended her expertise to help families navigate the challenges of raising children with compassion and confidence. With a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and a Master's in Education Administration, she utilizes a holistic approach, drawing strategies from Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Emotional Learning, Structured Learning Environments, and Love.
Lauren's goal is to bring simple, effective techniques through social skills stories and a complete parent and child behavior support program — combining research-based activities, practical tools, and personalized guidance that teach both parents and children the skills they need to navigate behavioral and emotional challenges together.
Superhero In Disguise™ has been a project of love and will continue to grow with added supplements, personalized stories, and content updates to help guide you through your parenting years — because every child has a superhero within!
